Why are some coupons from the grocery store are marked do not bend?

I always thought that the discount stores pay extra when the value double coupons. If coupons are issued to increase sales, why do the manufacturers care if the store duplicate? Would not it be good for them?

Some manufacturers have agreements with retailers that will be paid if the store has a double coupon day or something. If one of the manufacturers have An exception to this policy, "do not bend" are printed on the coupon, but usually Store absorb the cost of duplicating all modes.
