Should I just buy a new HDTV or get the converter for 2009?

I already called the number for the $40 coupon for the converter box, which they send you two of them. But I just wondered if it would just be worth the money in the long run for me to just buy a HDTV.
I don’t have satellite or cable. Just 6 basic channels.

Try the converter box first.

Sometimes previously unwatchable channels are viewable when converted to digital.

Big bucks spent on HD TV might be a waste if you still like your present t.v.
