Very unorganized. Please help!?

How to you organize the following items?

1. Mail
2. Events (parties, get-togethers, etc.)
3. Books (I was thinking of keeping everyones books together on shelfs in the offce and the libary books on a certain shelf and books curently being read on a certain shelf)
4. Grocery Shopping (coupons, lists, when, etc)
5. Meals

1. mail—- i open them as soon as they arrive. if they are junk mails, i throw away the envelopes and other papers that don’t have my name. i have a basket for papers to shred and i shred them weekly. i have 2 file folders for mail, to pay and to file.

2. events —— i have a big calendar which i marked events such as birthdays, parties, due dates for bills, appointments.
i also have a book from real simple called celebrations. they have detailed information about how to go plan parties and get togethers. it also includes easy meals and appetizers to serve the guests. but whatever event that is, you need to plan ahead and a back up plan in case you have problems during the event.

3. Books —- if you have a lot space you can keep all your books, but if it’s limited, try to keep the books that you hold dear and donate the rest to the library.

4. Grocery shopping —- set a day to go to grocery. they say that every wednesday there’s new deliveries to the stores. there’s not a lot of crowds too.
make a list before going to the store, unless you have time to stroll around the store. but having a list is a must.
check your pantry and refrigerator the night before you do your shopping. i designed my own grocery list, photocopied it and i clip it inside the pantry. so i just check off things i needed.
i have the coupon file inside the pantry and i bring it with me together with my grocery list.

5. i try to cook once a week so i will just re-heat or defrost the meals i’ve cooked.
