Red Robin birthday sundae with free birthday burger coupon?

I have a coupon for a free burger at Red Robin for my birthday. My birthday was on Monday, but since you have until a week after your birthday to use it I am using it tonight. A friend had told me that you also get a free sundae. I looked it up, and you get the sundae when they sing Happy Birthday. My question is, do they only do this when it’s actually your birthday that day, or any time you use that coupon? Would you have to specify it’s your birthday to get it?

I would just tell them that you are celebrating your birthday and I think that they would give it to you. I’ve never gone there before for a birthday, but I’ve been other places (not on my b’day, but celebrating) and if they give away a free dessert they usually give it to me. Hope this helps!
